Delivery of the Pellets

Delivery of the Pellets Wood pellets are delivered by a silo car and are blown into the pellet store by a filling hose.

The length of the supply hose is important in this regard: The longer the hose, the greater the abrasion on the pellets. The hose length should therefore not exceed 30 m.

If there are hardly any or no pellets left, the time until new filling can be overcome using sacks of material.
If requested, the silo can be equipped with an additional manual filling nozzle.

Filling

Filling is from the side there by achieving a letter degree of filling. Opposite the filling nozzle, the silos are equipped with an impact wall that ensures gentle filling of the pellets.

Filling line:

Conveying pipes should be made from smooth metal with a diameter of 100 mm. Various individual pipes can be connected by flanges. In this case, it must be ensured that the filling pipe does not end in a 90°bend, but rather in a straight pipe of at least 50 cm length, a so-called "slow-down length".

Exhaust system

A forced exhaustion system is required in closed rooms and airtight bins. No exhaust system is required for bag silos where a ventilation opening of at least 170 cm² is provided at the installation site.

Pellet quality

A.B.S. wood pellet silos are exclusively construckted for the storage of wood pellets. Use quality pellets in accordance with EU-Norm EN14961-2, DINplus or ÖNORM M 7135 with a diameter of 6 mm. A poor quality of the pellets might considerably impair operation of your heating system.
