New building / old buildingIf a wood pellet heating system is chosen for a new building, it is purposeful to plan the respective rooms from the start. If inside storage is not possible, the pellets must be stored outside. On principle, the installation of a fabric silo outside the house is no problem. The store must be protected against rain underneath a carport, in a garage or in a woodshed. The problem of humid cellars in old buildings must be taken into consideration. A storage room must be prepared accordingly. The use of flexible silos in cellatr rooms is normally no problem provided that ventilation is sufficient. |
The storage system that a boiler operator opts for mainly depends on the space situation, like cellar, garage, attic, etc.
