Humid walls and floors in the storage room must be avoided as wood pellets absorb humidity. They swell, disintegrate and can then normally no longer be used.

Besides, humid pellets might block conveyor systems and influence combustion negatively.
 Normal humidity, as occurs at different periods throughout the year depending on the weather, does not affect the pellets negatively.

The distance between store and boiler must be considered.
